JUNIOR BOATING PROGRAM
The Junior Boating Program is for students between the age of twelve and eighteen and is designed to engage, inspire, and prepare youth to understand how to safely and responsibly operate a Jet Ski. This program has specific expectations for planning and the responsibilities required to execute their goals with support from role models, and water safety advocates.
Are you seeking a responsible mentor who cares about you or your child’s professional development in the area of water safety? We have purposeful and dedicated mentors who want to benefit our youth in a modern approach to reaching goals and understanding effective teamwork that will assist a child in discovering the values and risks of participating in the water safety community.
This Junior Boating mentorship program is designed for youth, with 2 separate sessions for females and males who are interested in responsibility, physical fitness, procedures, and leadership.
This is a purpose driven program designed to engage and inspire youth to prepare, understand the expectations of planning and the responsibilities required to execute their goals with complimentary support from a role model, advocate and a friend.
Participation in this program includes several pre-requisites including permission from a Parent or Guardian, a written essay, and a safe boating course must be completed prior to participation. A parent or guardian is required to sign liability waivers if the applicant is under the age of 18. All grants are awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. In order to be eligible for a grant for this program a Parent or Guardian must provide evidence of financial need.
This activity will be conducted primarily by a vetted Professional Rescue Water Craft instructor who is a volunteer for the Rescue Watercraft Association.
